“...I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3
So spoke God to Abraham, which promise was passed to Isaac to Jacob, who became Israel and produced the twelve tribes. The promise revolved around the land he was to be given and his descendants habitation of that land. If God spoke true, we should see evidence of these blessings and cursings surrounding the affairs of those who interact with Israel (and its possession of that promised land) in modern times. Is there such evidence?
Blessing: On May 14, 1948 the state of Israel was declared. The United States was the first nation to acknowledge the new country and supported the country politically and economically from that time forward. From the late forties to the early nineties the United States became the most prosperous and powerful country in the world, and by the end of this period stood as the world's sole superpower. Then things began to change.
Curse: On October 31, 1991 the Madrid Middle East Peace Conference began its sessions with the intent of removing large portions of the “promised land” from control of the state of Israel. The conference was chaired and promoted by the United States of America. The “Perfect Storm” strikes the New England coast, described by weather experts as a “once in a 100 year freak of nature.”
Curse: On August 24, 1992 the sixth round of the Madrid Peace effort begins with a new head of Israeli government (Rabin) taking part who is more agreeable to a “land for peace” deal. Significant progress is made. Hurricane Andrew, the fourth most powerful storm to make landfall in the U.S. strikes. It devastates South Florida becoming the most expensive natural disaster in the nation's history.
Curse: Over the period from April to August 1993, a historic peace deal is negotiated taking Israeli control away from sections of the “Promised Land”. “The worst natural disaster in U.S. history” unfolds with several states inundated by continuous rains. Some say it was a 500 year flood, breaking records by the scores.
Curse: On January 17, 1994 the Northridge Earthquake hit the San Fernando Valley 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles causing massive damage, killing 57 people, and injuring over 9000. To this time, second only to Hurricane Andrew in terms of financial damage, with some estimates of that damage ranging over 25 billion dollars. The day before, President Bill Clinton meets with Syria's Assad to discuss the return of the Syrian lands taken in the 1967 war (which constituted part of the “Promised Land”, i.e. the Golan Heights, strategically important in the defence of Israel and promised to the tribes of Dan and Manasseh) in return for Assad's signing on to a peace agreement with Israel. Two days after this Prime Minister Rabin announces to the Israeli people the “painful price” they must pay for peace with Syria. It is reasonable to conclude that Mr. Clinton pressured Rabin in this direction on the seventeenth. The deal subsequently falls through and Rabin ends assasinnated the next November, Clinton avoids further efforts to take the promised lands from Israel.
Curse: June 5, 2001. After an initial “hands off” approach to the Middle East conflict, President George Bush sends CIA director George Tenet in an effort to implement proposals that would restrict Israeli use of the “Promised Land”. Simultaneously, a tropical storm suddenly “went right from nothing to a tropical storm” and strikes the Houston area resulting in the “Great flood of 2001”.
Curse: September 10, 2001 marks the beginning of the week the Bush administration rolls out its major change in U.S. policy of supporting a Palestinian State on sections of the “Promised Land.” The next day, more people die in the worst attack waged upon U.S. shores than died in the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor.
Curse: April 30, 2003. The “long awaited” effort toward the removing of large portions of the “Promised Land” for the creation of a Palestinian State is kicked off, spearheaded by the United States and buttressed by the cooperation of Russia, the European Union, and the UN. The “worst weather in U.S. history begins on this day resulting in 562 tornados over a span of 4 weeks, accompanied by 1,587 hail storms and 740 reports of additional wind damage.
Curse: June – August 2003. The EU becomes an international player and major force in the new effort to create a Palestinian State through the loss of the “Promised Land” from Israel. The worst heat wave in 250 years strikes the European continent with a terrible loss of life, shortly after “the worst weather in U.S. history” ends.
Curse: August 23, 2005. Gaza is abandoned by the painful removal of Israeli citizens from the “Promised Land”, this operation was concluded on August 29, the day of hurricane Katrina.. 5 months later Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon who agreed to the forfeiture is struck down by a stroke. Tropical depression number 12 is first noticed on this day, and following its formal naming as Hurricane Katrina becomes the most destructive national disaster in U.S. history. Bush's perceived ineptitude in dealing with the disaster's consequences marks the beginning of the end of the Bush presidency. The number of Jews rendered homeless in Gaza and the number of Americans rendered homeless in Mew Orleans as a percentage of total populations was .167% for the Israelis and the Americans both (10,000/6,000,000 and 500,000/300,000,000).
Curse: Week of July 23, 2007. Tony Blair begins his first trip as envoy for the four powers (USA, Russia, EU, UN), ultimately leading to the Annapolis Conference where the world begins a renewed effort to pressure the Israelis to give up a large portion of the “Promised Land” for the creation of a Palestinian State. (Side note: the prophet Zachariah foretold a group of 4 powers will divide the “Promised Land” resulting in terrifying events against the nations). This week the bank-to-bank loan premium undergoes an event statistically estimated should occur 1 day in 2,500,000 and the world financial system suffers a critical breakdown bringing it to the brink of systemic meltdown. The effects of that meltdown continue to be felt.
Curse: March 10, 2010. Vice President Biden blows up after Israel's announcement during his visit that it plans to build 1,600 settlements in East Jerusalem. March 13, 2010, President Obama snubs Netanyahu on his official state visit to the White House, sending him back to Israel in embarassed disgrace. Well into April, the White House and State Department seek to destabilize Netanyahu's government by forcing him to agree to an indefinite freeze on Jewish construction in the West Bank and most of Jerusalem as well as the establishment of a Palestinian state by 2012. April 20, the Deepwater Horizen explodes in the Gulf of Mexico resulting in the greatest man-made disaster to the eco-system yet recorded, the long-term financial and health effects of which are not known.
Curse: September 2, 2010. New peace talks take place between Israel and Palestinian leaders. The talks are mediated by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. While the US does not push its agenda upon Israel in these talks, it does encourage them. The bible warns against this: “Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.” (Exodus 34:12) Thus, the US is encouraging Israel to act against the Word of God. Another oil rig explodes in the gulf on this date while hurricane Earl begins its sweep of the east coast of the US. This same date news reports indicate that Syria and Hezbollah “conclude secret pact for war on Israel”.

Connect the dots for yourself, there's more to be found. Coincidences all? Seems rather improbable to me to believe that.
